The
Netting
The
most important component in any practice golf cage is the netting
material used. That's why we use premium knotless netting manufactured
by Badinotti™ and imported from Italy. As a spinning golf ball
impacts the golf net, any slight abrasions on the ball will
catch on loosely woven netting. This causes premature wear.
Our Badinotti™ netting is tightly woven with 48 strands of nylon
and is urethane impregnated. This urethane impregnation acts
like a protective coating that will help resist shrinking and
snagging. Impregnating netting with urethane prevents the net
from absorbing water, so it also resists rotting. We also have cages made from high density polyethelene, which completely resists the effects of water.
The Impact Panel
If
you hit a golf ball into the same spot enough times, you can
eventually wear a hole through any material. Rather than patch
or replace the entire golf cage, we have designed our golf cages
to allow easy replacement of the panel that will realize the
most wear. All of our golf cages include a rope which can be
used to hang a replaceable impact panel. This panel hangs down
about a foot from the back wall of the cage. The cage has a
rope woven into the top panel 12" from the back in order to
hang the impact panel.
The Lead Weighted Bottom Line
A heavy lead line may be incorporated into the bottom of the impact
panel to keep the net from bouncing up and making your golf balls
more difficult to retrieve. We go one step further and sew a heavy
nylon rope onto the bottom of every non-impact, vertical panel.
The
Borders
Our
commitment to quality follows through to all of the materials
used in our golf practice cages including the borders. All of our perimeter edges are sewn to the netting panels. While several of our competitors simply weave a rope in and out through the meshes, we positively secure the borders to our net panels. Our Super Duty cages use webbing that is
heavier duty and wider than that used by other manufacturers.
Thinner, lightweight webbing doesn't provide enough material
to secure the netting to and the webbing and netting have a
tendency to loosen and pull apart under stress. Our panels are
secured with high quality 3" webbing assuring that the panels
used to form your cage will stay secure through many years of
practice.
On
our less expensive golf cages we sew the rope border to the netting after
weaving the rope in an out through the meshes. In this way,
even if the stitching should fail (it probably won't) the cage stays together!
The
Grommets
Our grommets
are cleated for superior holding strength, and we install grommets
around the entire top perimeter of your cage. Each cage is suspended
by cleated grommets, which are attached to durable 3" nylon
webbing around the entire perimeter of the cage. Depending of
the size of your cage, the netting will be suspended from 12
or more points producing less stress at each point of suspension.
Other manufacturers attach one uncleated grommet at each of
the four top corners of their golf cages. This places all of
the weight of the cage on these four points. Uncleated grommets
tend to pull away from the webbing.

Returns
and Warranty Policy
Because our cages
are hand made, from the finest materials, we rarely have to deal
with warranty issues. Our policy is to promptly and enthusiastically
repair or replace at our option any product that is defective in
materials or workmanship. You return the product to us, and we will
pay for the shipping back to you. Naturally, netting products do
incur normal wear and tear, and normal wear and tear is not considered
a defect.
If the product isn't defective, but you change your mind, we will
still accept returns on stock items. For custom orders and dual
cages, we can't accept returns, nor can we accept order cancellations
after we have cut the netting. Stock items must be returned to us
within 15 days and the product must be unused. We will reimburse
you for the price you paid less a nominal 15% restocking charge.
Naturally we don't reimburse your shipping charges. |
